Follow up session – one month after group Support Group Testimonials: This group has been the best form of therapy. I have received since my loved ones suicide. I have told everyone I know what great things the Distress Centre does. I strongly recommend this group to all suicide survivors. It certainly wasn't a group I ever wanted to be a part of but fortunately for me it was here and I found it very rewarding......Nicole I found the level of genuine caring and leadership and information to be comforting and very helpful. The facilitators have made this a very positive and rewarding time for me. I feel that this is helping propel me forward. Thank you.....Sonja Within the group I came to be with others like myself. Other survivors that could read the meaning in my tears. The look in everyone's eyes seemed to say, "we already know", even when only a few words were spoken. I knew I wasn't alone in this and began to feel safe. Within my pain and emotional chaos I learned what I was experiencing was only natural...... Christine I came looking for someone to give me the answer to suicide and to why I felt the way I did. What I found was exceptional support and the understanding to better assist me in finding comfort within myself. The group let me know that I was not alone and that others felt the same as I did. Being able to connect others that knew exactly what I was going through and could understand was a great comfort. I gained some great friendships and understanding in the group. The support and compassion I received allowed me to find "me" again. Thank you DCD...... Donna
