Trained staff and a Peer Survivor facilitate all groups. Closed Homicide Survivor Support Group This is a 10 week closed Support Group for individuals grieving the loss of someone special who died by homicide. The focus of the support group is to better understand the uniqueness of the grief and trauma associated with homicide. Each week we discuss and share our feelings and experiences related to the following topics:
Running Times: To be announced. Being a survivor means you have lost someone special to homicide. You are experiencing a form of grief that is complex and unique, as it is associated with trauma and unlike other forms of grief. If you are a homicide survivor, don't travel this painful road alone. Join us on our journey of grief and recovery. Come and share your grief, your memories, your fears and even a few tears as together, we learn how to cope with life as we now know it...without our loved ones. "We
are each of us angels with
only one wing, we
can only fly by embracing one another." The
group is open to men and women, 18 years and older as well as minimum
loss period is 6 months. For additional information and registration,
