Distress Centre Durham workshops and presentations are designed with special attention to a variety of learning styles and preferences. Our trainers are experienced adult education specialists. ADOLESCENT SUICIDE AWARENESS

Distress Centre Durham offers an Adolescent Suicide Awareness Presentation to Durham Region secondary schools. This interactive presentation focuses on:

  • identifying the “stressors” adolescents currently face
  • recognizing the “symptoms” of a suicidal individual
  • developing a “support network” for those at risk and those who are concerned about someone at risk

The Distress Centre Durham Adolescent Suicide Awareness Program is available free of charge and is delivered by specially trained staff and volunteers, during a class period to the class or classes selected by each secondary school.
